
She holds a BA and MA in Economics (as class valedictorian with an overall GPA of 10/10), BSc and MSc in Mathematics, PhD in Economics (Babeş-Bolyai University), Post-doctoral fellowship in Economics (Romanian Academy of Sciences, Bucharest), as class valedictorian, and Habilitation in Finance. She is having a strong interest in examining the financial brain from an outward and inward perspective, she obtained an MSc in Cognitive Neuroscience, “with Merit”, from the University of York, UK. Her academic record comprises: 146 scientific articles (e.g., in top-tier outlets such as Journal of Economic Psychology, Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization, Financial Innovation, PLoS ONE), book reviews; 50 books and book chapters as author, editor, translator; 52 research grants as PI and member; 60 prizes, medals and distinctions; over 100 keynote, invited and conference delegate speeches; coordinated projects and events with academics from 134 universities, institutes and organisations worldwide. In 2022 and 2023, she was listed among the World’s Top 2% Scientists across All Scientific Fields and in the Own Scientific Field, in the prestigious Scopus (Elsevier) ranking compiled by Stanford University. Her research interests revolve around: Economic and Financial Analysis, Tax Behaviour, Behavioral Public Finance, Neurobusiness, Cognitive Neuroscience, Econometrics, Mathematics Applied to Economics, Business Valuation, Financial and Tax Literacy, Behavioural Economics, Financial and Managerial Accounting, Audit, Family Businesses, Game Theory Applied to Business, Wellbeing and Sustainable Economic Growth.
